Analytics cookies are dropped only if you toggle them ON in the cookie banner. They gather aggregated, non-identifying telemetry to help us understand search performance, page load times, and broken link patterns.

rootli.co.uk. - Anonymisation: IP addresses are anonymised at the point of ingestion. No personal identifiers (names, emails, postcodes) are linked to performance telemetry.
- Default State: OFF (Disabled until explicit opt-in).
03Functional Cookies & Local Storage (Optional)
Functional cookies remember your choices to personalize your browsing experience across sessions.
- Purpose: Remember your last searched postcode, texture focus filter, or map view preferences so you don’t have to re-enter them on return visits.
- Default State: OFF (Disabled until explicit opt-in).
04Marketing, Retargeting & Third-Party Pixels
Rootli currently sets ZERO third-party advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads tags).
If advertising or marketing cookies are introduced in the future to promote Rootli specialists across social media networks, they will be classified under a separate Marketing category in our preference manager and will remain OFF by default, requiring your explicit consent before activation.
05How Your Choice Is Stored & 6-Month Re-Consent
Your preference decision is stored locally in your browser under the key rootli_cookie_consent and mirrored as a first-party cookie.
- The record contains only the categories you permitted (e.g.,
{"essential": true, "analytics": false, "functional": true}) and the UTC timestamp of your choice. - To ensure ongoing compliance with ICO rules, we automatically prompt you to re-confirm your consent preferences every six (6) months.
